Trustees of Sudbury Common Lands Charity's parent organisation, the Sudbury Municipal Charities, met at Sudbury Town Hall on Christmas Day morning for the latest instalment of a gift-giving tradition that stretches back more than 400 years.
A total of 43 townsfolk received gifts this year - vouchers that can be redeemed at Roy's or Peddars in the town. Some of the recipients attended the ceremony at the town hall where Mayor Andy Welsh handed out the gifts.
A big thank you to Councillor Welsh and to town hall staff who welcomed one and all, and served sherry and mince pies to ensure Christmas Day started with good will and kindness.
